Lazy B*tch Kitchen | Tres Leches Cake

Hola everyone. On today’s capitulo of lazy b*tch cooking, I’m teaching all of you how to make a shortcut Tres Leches cake. I’m a big fan of boxed dessert mix, because #lazylife… why make your world any harder than it has to be? I’m 100% on team shortcuts. The funny thing is that I don’t even like Tres Leches cake, but my mom was craving it, so I decided to make it for her. The only thing that you’ll actually have to make is the leches part. The rest should be a breeze.
(cake & frosting)
One Box of Yellow Cake Mix
4 Eggs
2 TBSP of Butter
1 TBSP of Cinnamon Powder
1 ¼ Cup of Water
1 Can of Betty Crocker Whipped Fluffy White or Whipped Cream Frosting
(leche, to soak cake)
1 (14 oz) can of sweetened condensed milk
1 Cup of Evaporated milk
1 Cup of Heavy Cream

  1. Combine all dry ingredients first
  2. Use mixer to fold in wet ingredients
  3. Bake cake according to instructions on box
  4. Let cake cool for 5-10 minutes
  5. Poke holes in cake using fork
  6. Stir together all three milks in separate bowl
  7. Pour over cake evenly (could cover cake, which is OK)
  8. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours
  9. Frost top with choice frosting
Optional: garnish cake with crushed walnuts or chopped strawberries
