Review | ColourPop What Went Down Super Shock Shadow Foursome

I promised a few days ago that I would be reviewing this shadow quad, so here it is. ColourPop released two super shock shadow quads. This is the what went down quad, which is the more deep and warm quad. Full of rich purples, reds and oranges. Perfect for the fall time, and this quad makes some excellent looks.

Cost: $18, can be purchased individually for $5

Off The Grid (B−)

Bow Down (A)

Formula, Pigmentation, Staying Power

While Dynasty is a beautiful color, the texture was oddly thick and felt like a dried cream eyeliner. Also as you can see by the swatches, the color is super patchy. The only reason I didn’t give it a lower grade is because the color is stunning. This applies best using your finger, don’t ever use a brush with this color. It will crumble and be splotchy. Crossing lines has the same texture as Dynasty, but is more forgiving because of the color.

Like most super shock shadows, the shimmers are absolutely stunning. My favorite way to use these is as inner corner or eyelid colors. Super shock shadows give amazing pops to eye looks. SSS have great staying power because of the creme to powder formula. I mentioned this in the last review, but I can get away with not using eye primer. Which makes these perfect for a one shadow eye look. I’ve been into quick shimmery shadows all over the eyelid.

♥XOXO♥, Crystal Emme
