What’s in My Everyday Makeup Bag

A.K.A what I would use everyday if I didn’t have an exorbitant amount of makeup that I feel obligated use… because I am a money garbage disposal. I would consider these the products I would take with me and I know I can create multiple looks out of them. I always end up incorporating one or a few of these into my makeup looks. Some of these items I’ve discussed several times here, but a few of these haven’t been given the reverence they deserve.

Black Opal Invisible Oil Blocking Gel Primer

This is my go to face primer. I discovered it about a year ago. It has a silicone feeling to it that also fills in larger pores and fine lines. I don’t always prime my face because I usually use matte foundation or bb cream, which does a good job at staying matte throughout the day.

M.A.C Studio Fix Powder Foundation

Studio fix powder is my go-to for when I want to add an extra layer of coverage to my liquid face makeup. I don’t wear full coverage foundation unless the occasion calls for it. I usually use something like M.A.C Face and Body or light bb cream. It keeps me matte while not making me look cakey.

Milani Baked Bronzer in Soleil

This doubles as a blush and quick eyeshadow for me. It has shimmer woven throughout the powder, but once you buff it into the skin the shimmer goes away. It has a rich golden tone, so if you aren’t warm or neutral this is likely going to pull orange on you. I also pop this all over the eye for a quick brown eyeshadow look.

ColourPop Lippie Pencil in Grunge

ColourPop makes some of my favorite lip liners. Grunge is a makeup bag must have. It’s a deepened neutral that looks good on its own or with most nudes. It’s a creamy pencil that does an amazing job at gliding on your lips with superb staying power. I think this a flattering lip liner for a variety of skin tones.

Covergirl Clean Matte BB Cream

I believe I wrote about this product once in a favorites post. This bb cream has light coverage while making sure that my skin look like skin. I pair this with the studio fix powder and it creates a perfect medium coverage face base.

Nyx Cosmetics Lip Lingerie in Exotic

Out of all the lip lingerie colors, this one is my favorite. It’s a deep reddened neutral on my skin tone. I don’t have a problem with chipping or flaking off on my lips. This is a drier liquid lipstick formula, I suggest using either a lip primer or balm underneath. These are some of my favorite drugstore liquid lipsticks.

Broadway Lip Gloss

This is just clear gloss with different oils in them. The green has mint oil, pink is rosehip and brown is coconut. I prefer using gloss on its own instead of a balm. I use this atop grunge or exotic for a deep nude look.

Amuse Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

This liquid eyeliner only costs ONE DOLLAR and it’s one of my favorites. While I sing the high praise to M.A.C Liquidlast liner, this one comes in at a close second. I like length of the brush tip, and it’s easy for me to create winged eyeliner with.

L’Oréal Lash Paradise Mascara

This is a newer product that I’ve started using, but this mascara is amazing at giving your lashes curl and volume. Since it debuted it’s been compared to the Too Faced Batter Than Sex Mascara and I have to say that the L’Oréal blows that one out of the water. Save yourself some coin and pick up the L’Oréal.

♥XOXO♥, Crystal Emme
