Hello my babies, today is a top 10 on beauty products for summer. It’s getting warm here in the Bay Area, which to us is over 75°. During summer, I focus less on eyes and face, focusing mainly on lips. I don’t like a full face of makeup in hot weather. I can physically feel my pores suffocating with the makeup, so I keep it light.
Kirkland Daily Facial Towlettes
These are my favorite face wipes, they don’t have a heavy fragrance. The wipes are throughly saturated, so you wont end up dragging this across your skin. These are inexpensive too, for 150 wipe, it only costs $12
Nyx Cosmetics Loose Shimmer in Taupe
These fun loose eyeshadows come in a rollerball. It has the tip f those old school glosses, so you end up rolling it on the eye. The shadow is shimmery and looks amazing smudged all around the eye. On those hot summer days were I do want to wear eye makeup, I pop this on my eyelid and crease area, throw on mascara and BAM… easiest eye look ever.
Covergirl Clean Matte BB Cream
I like to keep my face makeup at a minimum. I don’t like not wearing any foundation, because I’m not trying to scare children away. I would use m.a.c face and body, because I do love that foundation. Face and body requires me to set it with powder, which feels icky when its hot. This bb cream doesn’t require me to do that, and it has decent coverage.
Milani Amore Matte Lip Cream in 20 AMORE
Milani is one of the most underrated drugstore brands IMO (probably because they don’t send pr to bloggers, let’s be real) the amore matte lip creams are some of my favorites from the drugstore. They are slightly drying, so I add a lip primer underneath to make it more comfortable. I love this fiery red, it reminds me of an intense sunset.
UP & UP Sheer Dry Touch Sunscreen
Target house brand makes some of my favorite products, and their cheaper than their name brand counter parts. The ingredients are exactly the same, just read the labels. I love this sunscreen, it doesn’t feel greasy or make me shiny under makeup. It’s doesn’t have a noticeable fragrance to me.
Mario Badescu Cucumber Facial Spray
This is so refreshing and smells nice. I try to stay away from skin care that has fragrance, even though I do not have sensitive skin. I enjoy sroptising this on my face when I start to get a little too warm. The rose spray smells good too, but I’m not the biggest fan of rose scents.
Milani Strobelight Instant Glow Powder in Sunset Glow
Hands down, my favorite rose gold highlighter. It looks so much better on my skin, because I actually have some color back in skin (Hello NC42/44) the powder is soft and the shine isn’t over the top. I really like these. I know they have more colors which is awesome.
Kylie Cosmetics Velvet Lipstick in Dazzle
These are Kylie Cosmetics version of a satin liquid lipstick. I think that these are easy to wear and they don’t dry out your lips. plus these smell like Lip Smacker.
Soap & Glory Hand Food
I despise the idea of being crusty. I hate looking and feeling crusty. If you also have crustiness, you need to cure the first step is to drink a lot water and the next is to moisturize. I wear open toe shoes for majority of summer, so my feet can’t be flaky and gross. Neither can my hands, because people look at them when I’m entering my pin number.
This hand cream smells like sugary donuts, and doesn’t feel greasy. It does an amazing job at keeping your skin moisturized. Don’t be the person whose dry skin sucks the moisture out of air. Especially in California because we get dry heat, we aren’t Florida. Make sure to take care of your feet and hands, the heat will destroy them.
last, but not least….
ColourPop Pressed Eyeshadows
ColourPop makes some of the best products I’ve ever tried. I like the image of the brand, its super fun and makes me excited to wear color. Their products are affordable, which is always a good thing. I think part of having a successful brand is to make sure to have a wide range of accessibility. I enjoy these eyeshadows and get excited every time they come out with new colors.
